| "I started working with Ryan after I saw his ad in the classified section of the newspaper and visited his website. Prior to this, I had just read about real estate investing, I hadn’t actually bought anything. I was eager but didn’t really know the best way to begin.
Ryan worked with me for many months before I actually bought my first house. We set up financing and came up with an investment plan suited to my needs. | "We worked with Ryan O'Neill and his assistant Jaelynn in purchasing our new town home. This is the fourth home that we have sold or purchased. Without exception this was the best experience that we have had. Minnesota's Real Estate Team actually worked as a team. There was good rapport and respect between the agents and support staff. This may seem like a small thing but when you are making a large purchase it is wonderful to feel like everyone is eager to help and likes each other and what they are doing. I never heard any backbiting.
We experienced helpful and timely responses to all questions and concerns. When we were negotiating a price with the seller, Ryan sent us some comparables that helped us decide our final offer. We never experienced any pressure. I asked to go out and see the town home one afternoon with only a few hours of notice. Jaelynn made a special effort to arrange things for me. When we had the final walk through, Tawyna filled in because Ryan was out of town. She went through the inspection carefully and thoroughly with me. We never felt like we were being an imposition or a bother.

| "My wife was very skeptical when I first started getting serious about
investing in real estate. We went to a seminar in December of '04 put on
by Ryan O'Neill and Rob Bonahoom that seemed to put her at ease and show her how we could increase our wealth over time. Then, when we found a place that we both liked, she started to get cold feet, and didn't want to part with the cash.
I somehow talked her into purchasing the property (with the help of Ryan).
Still, the most difficult task was at hand - getting it rented. I followed
Ryan's plan to a T. Adds were placed in the Star-Trib, and with Rent
Clicks.com. I never did get a call from the Tribune adds, however. All my leads came from Rent Clicks.
Three young friends were very persistent about wanting to live at my
property, and did everything asked of them (for screening purposes) in a
very timely manner. Again, I followed Ryan's instructions and advice on
screening applicants very closely. I didn't find a reason to not let them
rent from me, and the deal was done. We closed on July 28, 2005, and the
renters moved in August 1, and so far things have worked out well. With the
help of Rob and his team, we found a financing option that kept my mortgage
payment as low as possible to help me cash flow +$15 per month. It's not a
lot, but I don't have to worry about a second mortgage payment. The appreciation will speak loudly over time.

| "We cannot thank Bernie Borschke enough for everything he did for us during a very personal time of transition from our old house in Andover to our new home in Isle. The past several weeks have been filled with a multitude of emotions for us and through it all he has guided us through the process.
When we decided to sell our old home, he wowed us during our first meeting with his professionalism and marketing strategies, being very honest about how the internet is today’s best tool for marketing. Open houses have a use, but not as the main driver as some other realtors had suggested to us. As an analyst, I was particularly impressed with the statistics, backed with significant data, he used validate his marketing theories.
Throughout the process, he was there for us in many ways. His recommendations regarding how to stage our house were not necessarily what we were eager to comply with, but in the end we listened to his expertise. His communication was great, returning every phone call and email promptly and answering all our questions. It was above and beyond our expectations of GREAT customer service, to the point of replying to email and voicemail while he was on vacation. We hated to interrupt his time off, but he never made us feel like we were interupting. We relied heavily on him in both the selling and buying process and he never let us down, following up on every little detail.
We were also very impressed with his negotiating skills. Having gone through this process a couple times before, this was the first time we’ve both felt someone negotiated for us, not for a sale. We truly believe he was an advocate for us in negotiating the best possible deal on both the selling and buying end of the process. One example was the way he continued to negotiate amendments after we had signed purchase agreements. He listened to us and made suggestions of what to ask for and how to request it from the other parties.
By the end of the first meeting with Bernie my wife and I were equally certain he was the realtor for us. Now at the end of the process, we still want Bernie to be our realtor…for the rest of our lives. | "When we began looking for our first home, we thought it would be a breeze. Everyone told us that the housing market was good and that we would have an easy time finding our dream home. We really liked the idea of purchasing a new construction townhome so we thought we wouldn't need a real estate agent. After all, the construction companies all have sales agents so we figured we'd be in good hands.
We liked the first townhome we looked at and suddenly found the sales agent putting contracts under our noses. Before we knew it, we had signed a purchase agreement and given the company $1000 in earnest money. We didn't even know what earnest money was. Luckily, we were able to get our money back and cancel the purchase agreement.
From that point on, we decided that we needed someone who would be on our side.
We found Jen McKinnon through The Minnesota Real Estate Team's website. Their website was absolutely the best real estate website we found. Within hours of creating an account on the web site, Jen called to introduce herself and offer her services. After meeting with Jen to discuss what we were looking for in a home, we felt like we had a safety net. We knew that Jen understood us and our needs and that she would be able to answer all of the questions that we had as first-time homebuyers.
In the few months that we worked together, Jen almost became part of our family. She was in constant communication with us and learned all about our needs and desires for a home. She was able to find us homes to look at and took care of setting up all of our showings. The homebuying process can be very overwhelming, and we felt lucky to have Jen there to help us stay on track.
Jen was always in good spirits when we saw her and she encouraged us through the entire process. Even when we felt like we would never find the perfect house, Jen kept a positive attitude and showed us that there is a house for everyone.
When we did find our perfect house, Jen sat with us as we signed all of the papers for our purchase agreement and closing. Once again, Jen became our safety net. We knew that the sales agent and closing agent representing the construction company wouldn't be able to fast-talk us with Jen sitting in the room. There were many times when Jen asked a pointed question that was in our interest while they were giving their sales pitch. She was able to keep our interest in mind when we didn't even know our interests or understand our rights. We may not be experts on housing, but we had an expert who would stand up for us if something seemed wrong.

| "First impressions are very important to me and the first call to a realtor
would have been a "make or break" deal: Adam had me hooked. I wasn't really thinking about buying my own place but continuing to pay rent just seemed ridiculous. So just for fun, I searched a bit on the internet. I filled several contact information on various websites and before I knew it, Adam Maas had contacted me and we were chatting away. Of course, I had asked as many questions I could come up with, perhaps purposely testing Adam's
patience level but he was extremely patient in answering all my questions.
By the time we started looking at condominiums together, I couldn't believe it was actually happening. He continually reassured me from the start that he was "looking out for my best interest". And he did. My husband is a student and we are a one-income family. I didn't think we could buy a place with our small loan but Adam helped us find a wonderful place even within our tight budget. Through the entire process, approving the loan to closing the deal, Adam was incredible. He was extremely accessible as though he has his Blackberry glued to his hand! All hours of the day, even during the weekends, I could call him to check up on our status (that is, if he hadn't first called us!) or just to vent my frustrations about life.
